'Real Life' Guide To Fat Loss

I wrote this booklet back in 2017.  It’s quite a lengthy detailed booklet, about the many factors that affect Fat Loss, more than just exercising and eating less.  If your finding yourself with a bit of spare time these days, and are interested in knowing more about fat loss from a ‘Real Life’ perspective, then you’ll enjoy this booklet.

It’s at time’s like these, when people most need a little motivation and inspiration.  I want to let you into a little secret about motivation… it’s something you need to do consciously every single day.  There are a few things that motivate us.  A new year, a new job, starting a new challenge.  But what about the rest of the days, when we’re not starting something new.  How do you get motivated.  Simple really, you have to motivate yourself.  The best way to motivate yourself, is visually and audibly, for about 10 mins each day.  Also, reading motivating books and other articles daily, helps greatly also.  Below is some content that I have used for years, to motivate myself on a daily basis, and help me get through the most challenging of challenges.  I hope you find the same motivation from it as I do.  Enjoy.

Do Not Underestimate The Power Of The Content Below

I highly recommend you use headphones when listening to the motivational videso and audio, and turn the volume up loud. This has the greatest effect by far.

[THURSDAY NIGHT MOTIVATION POST]

Tonight’s motivational post is about overcoming fear. As Les Brown puts it, F.E.A.R is False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is the story we listen to in our head. We all have some level of fear about something in our lives. Often many things. Our Maxx trainer, Ciarrai, had a massive fear with being on camera, even for photo’s. I remember last August when all the Maxx trainers went to the Ireland rugby match for a bit of team bonding. One of our long-time gym members was soon getting married, and we were making a short video clip for her hen party. All fuelled with Dutch courage, we passed the camera around to each shout our message, but when it came to Ciarra, she almost had a panic attack and the camera was quickly moved on. This is what we’re supposed to look like, right? Christina and I are both trainers, so we should look like these two guys in the photo. Lean and ripped, muscles bulging, 6 pack abs popping on him with a stomach as flat as a burst tyre on her. I Googled “man and woman fitness” and image of the couple holding dumbbells is what came up. What I didn’t Google is “man a woman into health and exercising, but also very busy raising a family, building a business, having fun, enjoying life and socialising, isolated for Covid-19 and stuffing their faces with snacks and drinks every-night during lockdown”. [MOTIVATION THURSDAY]

No Live Maxxertainment tonight, having a little night off, so I thought I’d post a little motivational post, hopefully to help anyone that may suffer from anxiety.

On Sunday past, I was taking my first Live home workout from my kitchen. I’m not camera shy at all, but I was still nervous as it was my first live video. In your head, live seems so much harder than just recording a video, cause if you make a mistake, there’s no deleting it.

We want to make this online resource as fantastic as we can, where everyone will continue to use it long after the Coronavirus pandemic is over.  We’d be grateful if you could answer the few questions below and provide us with any feedback or suggestions.

With the gym closed due to Coronavirus, and all our trainers confined to their homes, we started posting workouts and other content online to help our members, clients and anyone else in our community and beyond, to keep their fitness going and stay healthy during this challenging time for all of us.

Some of our members / clients have been asking about paying for the new online content. All our content is Free, and will remain Free, as we want to help everyone, and not just the people who can afford to, especially in today’s situation.

However, we decided to set up a donation page for anyone who is looking to contribute towards some income for the Maxx Life trainers. Amazingly, several of our clients have offered us temporary job opportunities, which we are extremely grateful for. But our hearts and passion lie in health and fitness, and so collectively, we’re committed to continuing to spend our time creating content and helping others, until this pandemic is over. For those who would like to make a small donation, we’ve set up a link in our ‘Home Workouts’ resource on our website. We thank you greatly for your kind gesture and generosity. We work together as a team, so all donations will be pooled and divided up between the Maxx trainers. Thank-you.

Only 1 week after creating a donation page, we as a team have been completely overwhelmed with the support and generosity our gym members/clients and even online followers who we’ve never met before, have shown us.  We thank-you so so much for all your donations, and helping us during this challenging time.
